To accelerate the construction of modern marine characteristic industrial clusters, the General Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province recently issued the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Modern Marine Characteristic Industrial Clusters. This initiative focuses on enhancing integration and upgrading, industrial concentration, innovation empowerment, green development, and open cooperation of modern marine characteristic industrial clusters, providing solid support for the province's efforts to become a hub for the development of the modern marine economy.
The document specifies that by 2027, the overall development level of marine characteristic industrial clusters in the province will be significantly raised; the added value of the 15 major marine industries in the province is expected to see a notably faster growth rate than the regional GDP; the number of marine characteristic industrial clusters in the province will reach around 20, with approximately 10 ones yielding an annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan and around 50 enterprises reporting an annual main business revenue of more than 1 billion yuan; the coverage rate of digital transformation among industrial enterprises above a designated size will reach about 98%; and there will be over 50 green factories, green industrial parks, and green supply chain management enterprises at the provincial level or above within the clusters. Additionally, by 2030, the number of marine characteristic industrial clusters in the province is projected to reach around 30, becoming a key driver for the development of the province's marine economy.
