Shandong's 15 Provincial-level Enterprises Have Developed Business in Hainan! A "Free Trade +" Pattern with Shandong-Hainan Coordination and South-North Synergy Is to Be Developed

According to reports, on October 30, 2023, China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Hainan Free Trade Port held a cooperation initiative signing event. They signed a total of one strategic agreement and nine cooperation projects, covering various types of cooperation such as zone-port cooperation, area cooperation, institutional cooperation, and enterprise cooperation. Various fields were involved, such as the marine industry, healthcare, international trade, and offshore finance.

Subsequently, Shandong's advantages in industry, capital, and talent will be further coordinated with Hainan Free Trade Port's advantages in policy, location, and resources based on existing cooperation to foster a strong synergy for promoting reform, sharing development, and facilitating cooperation. First, greater importance will be attached to system integration. Joint efforts will be made to promote integrated research in relevant fields. Meanwhile, practical exploration will be carried out at four levels, including overcoming bottlenecks, aligning with international rules, enhancing competitiveness, and strengthening regional cooperation. The purpose is to facilitate the compatibility of reform objectives, coordination of measures, and synergy of policies in various aspects. Second, more attention will be paid to key points. Shandong will focus on the common development of industries, the joint construction of industrial zones, and the sharing of platforms and achievements in the south and north. Moreover, pioneering differentiated exploration will be carried out for key fields and crucial links, striving to implement 1-2 pioneering exploration projects annually and develop a "free trade +" pattern with Shandong-Hainan coordination and south-north synergy.
