On September 23, Forbes China's Top 30 Multinational Operations list was released, including two enterprises in Shandong: Haier Smart Home and Weichai Power from the durable consumer goods and high-end manufacturing industries respectively.
Last year, Forbes China launched the "Chinese Enterprises Multinational Operations" series for the first time. This year, it has adopted a more diversified evaluation approach. In addition to considering basic financial indicators such as overseas revenue, proportion, and growth rate, it also pays attention to changes in multidimensional data, including the market share and competitiveness of companies' products in overseas markets over the past few years, the scale of overseas entities, the number of overseas employees, and the proportion of international strategic investors. The top 30 large multinational companies and 10 growth multinational enterprises have been selected based on their comprehensive scores.
Forbes China has stressed that the assessment of the "Top 30 Multinational Operations" and "Top 10 Global Growth Companies" does not merely emphasize the absolute scale of overseas revenue or assets but rather values companies' ability to sustain growth over the last two financial years and other indicators that reflect the companies' global vitality changes, such as the addition of significant foreign shareholders.
