Shandong's 93 Enterprises Listed among China's Top 500 Petroleum and Petrochemical Enterprises in 2024, Ranking First in China

On the morning of September 12, a press conference on China's top 500 petroleum and petrochemical enterprises by sales revenue in 2024 was held in Dongying.

At the conference, China's top 500 petroleum and petrochemical enterprises, top 100 petroleum and petrochemical enterprises in sub-industries and top 100 petroleum and petrochemical enterprises by competitiveness in 2024 were announced. Moreover, the Evaluation Guidelines for Accelerating the Building of World-class Enterprises in Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry and the Research Report on Competitiveness Evaluation Index of Petroleum and Petrochemical Enterprises were released for the first time. A total of 93 enterprises in Shandong Province were listed among China's top 500 petroleum and petrochemical enterprises by sales revenue in 2024, ranking first in China.

According to statistics, China's petrochemical industry achieved an operating revenue of 15.95 trillion yuan,  a total profit of 873.36 billion yuan and a total import and export volume of 952.27 billion US dollars in 2023. Overall, China's petrochemical industry managed to make a recovery from a low level and realize progress while maintaining stability and improving quality as the industry faced a downturn, thus providing a basic guarantee for national energy security and economic and social development.
