Start of the 2024 Gazelle and Unicorn Enterprise Cultivation and Certification in Shandong

The 2024 gazelle and unicorn enterprise cultivation and certification work in Shandong has started. This year, Shandong will focus on its "6997" modern industrial system and certify some outstanding high-growth enterprises as provincial-level gazelle and unicorn enterprises.

Up to now, Shandong has cultivated a total of 2,423 provincial-level gazelle enterprises in seven batches, including 2,232 within the validity period after review. There are 27 unicorn enterprises. The top three cities in terms of the number are Jinan (515), Qingdao (321), and Yantai (234). High-end equipment manufacturing, new energy & materials, and new-generation information technology are the top three industries, accounting for 32.3%, 23%, and 20.5%, respectively. According to statistics, gazelle enterprises within the validity period in Shandong Province have achieved an average compound growth rate of 60.9% and an R&D investment intensity of 9.6% over the past two years.
