Shandong's 55 Enterprises on the 2024 List of the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises

On September 11, the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association published the 2024 list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises. The threshold for this year's list is 47.381 billion yuan, an increase of 383 million yuan over the previous year. Shandong has 55 enterprises on the list, ranking second only to Beijing.

The scale of the top 500 Chinese enterprises in 2024 continues to grow, achieving a total revenue of over 110 trillion yuan and reaching 110.07 trillion yuan, which is an increase of 1.58% over the previous year. On the list, 16 enterprises have a revenue of over one trillion yuan, and 253 enterprises have a revenue of over one hundred billion yuan, accounting for more than 50%. The average R&D intensity has increased for the seventh consecutive year, with the total R&D investment of shortlisted enterprises accounting for 1.90% of the total revenue, the highest level since 2002.

Shandong has a total of 55 enterprises on the 2024 list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises. They are distributed in 12 cities, including 13 in Dongying, 11 in Jinan, seven in Qingdao, six in Weifang, four in Binzhou, four in Jining, three in Yantai, three in Zibo, one in Heze, one in Rizhao, one in Tai'an, and one in Linyi.
