Shandong "Rapidly Builds" a World-leading Marine Technological Innovation Center, Attracting 23 Full-time Academicians from the Marine Sector

Recently, the "Led by Talent, Driven by Innovation" Dialogue on High-quality Development of Human Resources was held in Qingdao. The event focused on building a hub of economic development in the modern marine sector, offering advice and suggestions for Shandong to gather world-class talents and introduce and give full play to talents.

According to reports, in recent years, Shandong has promoted the integrated development of "four chains" in the marine sector and organized a special activity for marine talents of the Taishan Industry Leading Talent Project. It has introduced and cultivated a total of 213 high-level talents in the marine sector and made breakthroughs in 97 key core technologies such as marine engineering equipment R&D.

So far, Shandong has attracted 23 full-time academicians from the marine sector, accounting for one-third of the national total. Subsequently, Shandong will accelerate talent attraction in Jinan and Qingdao, establish a global leading area for high-end marine talents, and build a globally influential marine technological innovation center. It will further promote the integrated development of the talent chain, education chain, industrial chain, and innovation chain to pave the way for transforming scientific and technological achievements into practical productive forces.
