Steady Growth in Shandong's Investment: 2,719 Projects Surpass 1 Billion Yuan

Since the beginning of this year, Shandong has continuously strengthened its focus on key construction projects, maintaining a steady growth trend in investment. From January to July, Shandong saw 14,614 projects each with a total planned investment of 100 million yuan or more, making up 54.3% of all investment projects. The completed investment for these projects increased by 10.1%, which is 5.5 percentage points higher than the overall investment, subsequently raising the total investment growth rate by 6.8 percentage points. Among these, there were 2,719 projects valued at 1 billion yuan or more, representing a 2.5% increase and accounting for 10.0% of all investment projects. The completed investment for these high-value projects rose by 10.2%, driving the overall investment growth rate up by 3.5 percentage points. Looking at specific industries, 13 categories of projects with investments of 100 million yuan or more each saw a completed investment growth rate exceeding 10.0%. Notably, the mining industry, wholesale and retail industry, and information transmission, software and IT services industry experienced significant growth, with investments increasing by 26.3%, 42.2%, and 39.6%, respectively.

From January to July, Shandong saw a 22.6% year-on-year increase in investment in high-tech industries. Investment in new technologies, new industries, new formats, and new models also rose by 9.3%, making up 58.0% of total investment; this represents a 2.6 percentage point increase year on year. Investment in high-tech industries surged by 43.9%, with high-tech manufacturing investment rising by 44.1%, constituting 28.8% of total manufacturing investment, a 5.5 percentage point increase year on year. In terms of specific sectors, investment in aviation, spacecraft, equipment manufacturing, and information chemicals manufacturing more than doubled.
