The Lunan Economic Circle, comprising Jining, Linyi, Zaozhuang, and Heze, is one of the three major economic circles planned by Shandong to foster new engines for high-quality development. Over the years, these four cities have continuously deepened cooperation and collaboration with the Yangtze River Delta in economic, social, and cultural areas. At the conference, four cities in southern Shandong promoted focus areas, including inland waterway shipping, food and cultural tourism, lithium battery new energy, and biomedicine.
Shandong boasts a comprehensive industrial system and a robust manufacturing foundation, making it highly compatible with the Yangtze River Delta in various industrial domains. This compatibility presents extensive prospects for jointly fostering new quality productive forces. During the conference, 2,996 key projects centered on green, low-carbon, and high-quality development in Shandong were introduced, with a total investment of 7.4 trillion yuan. This includes 123 projects each valued at over 10 billion yuan.
