706 Major Projects Worth 657.5 Billion Yuan Start in Shandong

On August 31, the 2024 Autumn On-site Promotion Conference for the Construction of Major High-quality Development Projects in Shandong Province was held, announcing the construction of 706 major projects with a total investment of 657.5 billion yuan. As a part of the province's efforts to expand effective investment, this promotion conference has been held for many years. It commences the centralized construction of a batch of major projects and works to ensure their successful implementation, thus constantly injecting momentum into the province's high-quality economic development.

Moreover, Shandong has continued to strengthen policy supply. Recently, Several Measures for Further Strengthening the Support for Private Investment Development and Several Policies and Measures on Further Pursuing Economic Progress While Ensuring Stability and Improving Quality were issued and implemented. By doing so, Shandong strives to support private investment to participate in the construction of major projects, enhance resource supply for private investment projects and stimulate the vitality of private investment.

In the first half of this year, Shandong's private investment rose by 8.2%, accounting for 61.6% of the total investment and driving the total investment up by 4.9 percentage points, playing a crucial role in stabilizing the overall investment situation of the province.

Among the projects announced at the promotion conference, 430 were invested by private enterprises, with their combined investment reaching 353.7 billion yuan, more than half of the total investment amount.
