Shandong Releases the First Batch of 15 Digital Industrial Clusters

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province recently organized the application for the first batch of digital industrial clusters in Shandong Province. After the procedures of application by various units, recommendation by various cities, expert review, and online publicity, 15 clusters including the high-end software industrial cluster of Qilu Software Park were recognized as the first batch of digital industrial clusters in Shandong Province.

A digital industrial cluster refers to the spatial and networked organizational form of industrial activities developed by the aggregation in geographical or network areas of enterprises in the core fields of the digital economy such as digital product manufacturing, digital product services, and digital technology applications, as well as related service industries and public platforms such as scientific research, finance, and logistics. It is also the result of the dynamic evolution of traditional industrial clusters with the development of the digital economy. Focusing on the "Ten Major Projects" of digital industrialization, Shandong has cultivated and identified 73 pioneering products, 30 pioneer enterprises in the digital industry, and 15 digital industrial clusters this year, establishing a comprehensive support system covering products, enterprises, and clusters.
