On March 8, the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government held a press conference to introduce how Shandong learned and applied the experience of the Green Rural Revival Program and accelerated the formation of new advantages in rural revitalization. In recent years, Shandong has diligently learned the experience of the Green Rural Revival Program. Leveraging this knowledge, the province has promoted the unity of Party building, resource consolidation, industrial integration, and talent aggregation in the region. By now, Shandong has established 138 provincial-level rural vitalization demonstration areas and over 1,300 areas at the city and county levels. It has fostered a sound pattern featuring tiered development and classified advancement.

Shandong has fully capitalized on its strengths in agricultural industrialization and nurtured new industrial development advantages by cultivating leading enterprises, reinforcing industrial chains, enriching business forms, and establishing distinguished brands. In 2023, the province's agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery industries achieved a total output value of RMB 1,253.19 billion, marking a 5.1% increase compared to the previous year. The primary industry's total added value amounted to RMB 650.6 billion, representing a 4.5% year-on-year growth, outpacing the national average by 0.4 percentage points. The province has established a "13+N" cultivation system, focusing on cultivating 13 advantageous characteristic industries, such as Shouguang vegetables, Jinxiang garlic, and Zhangqiu scallions. It is actively promoting the development of parks and clusters while cultivating six 100-billion-level industrial clusters, such as Shouguang vegetables and beef cattle along the Yellow River.
