Shandong Jinan Identifies Key Chains and Profiles Enterprises to Attract Major Corporations

Recently, the work report of the People's Government of Jinan City, Shandong Province, highlighted the aim to enhance the efficiency of business and investment attraction. In 2024, deepening project implementation will be considered the main driving force. By the end of November 2023, Jinan's business and investment attraction project pool had recorded the addition of 3,346 new projects, of which 1,583 were from the four leading industries, accounting for 47.3% of the total.

This year, the Jinan Investment Promotion Bureau will prioritize the four leading industries and identify key chains and critical fields. Special attention will be given to the "four types" of top 500 companies, industry-leading enterprises, and specialized, fined, peculiar and new enterprises. The bureau will conduct project planning and precise attraction, as well as strengthen the advantages of key industrial chains. It will concentrate on strategic emerging industries such as new generation of information technology, biotechnology, and new energy, aiming to introduce a range of projects that possess substantial investment scale, high technology content, and promising development prospects. Additionally, it will strive to accelerate the formation of new productive forces.

As per the plan, this year, the Jinan Investment Promotion Bureau will maintain its efforts in carrying out global investment promotion campaigns. The focus will be on key areas in Europe, America, Japan, South Korea, and other regions and countries. The bureau will actively attract advanced manufacturing projects and encourage investment in foreign-funded projects in the manufacturing industry.
