Yantai, Shandong: 30 Major Projects Compete on the Same Stage

Recently, in order to encourage various districts and cities in Yantai, Shandong, to increase their efforts in attracting and promoting major projects, the Yantai Development and Reform Commission, in collaboration with relevant departments, selected 30 major ongoing projects from the manufacturing and service sectors. These large projects all have a strong demonstration influence and will compete on the same stage, with 15 projects in the manufacturing sector and 15 projects in the service sector.

In recent years, Yantai has been fully committed to promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green development of industries. It has established two industrial clusters worth RMB 200 billion each, with one for nonferrous metals and precious metals and the other for green petrochemicals. It has also established four industrial clusters worth RMB 100 billion each for high-end equipment, electronic information, automobiles, and advanced food processing. Additionally, it has formed three industrial clusters worth RMB 10 billion each for biopharmaceuticals, aerospace, and clean energy.

From the perspective of industrial layout, the selected manufacturing projects are mainly concentrated in popular sectors such as green petrochemicals, nonferrous metals and precious metals, biopharmaceuticals, and automobiles. Among them, there are four high-end chemical projects, four new material projects, two nonferrous metal and precious metal projects, two automobile projects, two biopharmaceutical projects, and one advanced food processing project.
