Shandong Creates New Momentum for Development with Cross-industry and Cross-field Industrial Internet Platforms That Rank Second Nationwide by Total Number

In the first three quarters of this year, the added value of Shandong's industries above the designated size rose by 7.1% year on year. Notably, by developing and promoting digital applications represented by industrial Internet platforms, Shandong has continued to advance the transformation and development of its industrial economy, with the added value of high-tech manufacturing up by 7.7%, accounting for 9.5% of that of industries above the designated size.

The new progress made by Shandong's industries relies on the "new productivity" represented by new technologies and platforms. In 2023, a total of seven platforms in Shandong were selected as the cross-industry and cross-field industrial internet platforms by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. This means an increase of three and Shandong's ranking goes up to second place nationwide by the total number. Among them, COSMOPlat has ranked first in the dynamic evaluation of cross-industry and cross-field industrial internet platforms for five years. Yunfan Platform is the only cross-industry and cross-field industrial internet platform in the field of oil and gas development in China. It can be seen that Shandong has made rapid and coordinated progress in platform cultivation.

In the first three quarters, the investment in technological transformation of the province's industries increased by 13.1% year on year, 8.8 percentage points higher than that of the whole country; that of high-tech industries rose by 17.1% year on year, 4 percentage points higher than that of all industries, creating new economic growth and development potential for Shandong.
