National Digital Transformation Promotion Center for SMEs to Be Established in Shandong to Provide an Accelerator for SMEs’ Digital Transformation

Recently, Shandong has successfully obtained the approval to build China's only functional digital transformation promotion center for SMEs, which will serve as an "empowerment accelerator" for SMEs' digital transformation.

The center will promote the formation of a digital transformation roadmap at three levels: chain group, cluster, and city proper. Focusing on 11 representative industrial chains, 100 characteristic industrial clusters, and national digital transformation pilot cities, Shandong will release two lists: service agencies' "resource pool" and enterprises' "demand pool". Shandong strives to create at least 100 "small, fast, light, and flexible" quality solutions and products and promote 100 excellent enterprises such as specialized and innovative "little giants" to carry out digital transformation pilot projects within the year.

In addition, Shandong will also organize Shandong Modern Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd., Lucion Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Redline Capital (Beijing), and other organizations to set up a special fund for the digital transformation development of SMEs. Focusing on digital transformation projects that play a demonstration and driving role, the fund is aimed at providing a guarantee for extensive application of digital transformation.
