Heze, Shandong: Focus on Emerging Industries and Seize the Opportunities Presented by Electric Passenger Cars, Lithium Batteries, and Solar Cells

In the new round of actions to help Heze City make breakthroughs and Luxi New District achieve rapid development, a batch of emerging industrial clusters in the city have achieved vigorous development and gradually become new pillars of the city's industrial system. Heze City has seized the opportunities presented by electric passenger cars, lithium batteries, and solar cells and planned a batch of high-quality projects that enjoy a strong driving force and play a great exemplary role such as power batteries, PV, and energy storage. In the city, the proportion of the installed new energy capacity in the total installed electricity capacity reaches 57.7%, 15.9 percentage points higher than that in Shandong Province; the electronically controlled methanol system independently developed by Heze's enterprises has realized industrialization; the industrial Internet cultivation and optimization project has been implemented in an in-depth way and the construction of new infrastructure such as 5G, gigabit optical network and data center has accelerated. Thus, the city has played a leading role in the overall transformation through digital change.

Planning the industrial chains based on the innovation chains and taking investment promotion as the lifeline of the economic work, Heze has focused on the development pattern of key industries and the key links in the industrial chains, compiled investment promotion manuals for five industries including new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, PV and energy storage, and guided officials at all levels to accurately select investors. Since the beginning of this year, 235 new projects worth more than 100 million yuan have been implemented with the paid-in capital reaching 28.6 billion yuan.
