Shandong to Cultivate Sci-tech Enterprises and Strive for National Key Laboratories

Recently, Shandong provincial symposium on sci-tech work was held in Jinan. The symposium pointed out that since the beginning of this year, Shandong has achieved remarkable results in sci-tech innovation. Specifically, reform was gradually deepened in the sci-tech field, strategic sci-tech strength was enhanced faster, sci-tech innovation resources were gathered rapidly, the vitality of sci-tech innovation was continuously released, and breakthroughs were made in a number of core technologies in key fields. These achievements have provided strong support for the high-quality economic and social development of the province.

In the second half of this year, Shandong will invest in R&D funds for the whole society, cultivate sci-tech enterprises, develop national key laboratories, reform sci-tech evaluation, etc. Focusing on these key tasks, Shandong will conduct solid work in analysis and judgment to ensure that the annual work objectives of the sci-tech system will be accomplished.

Meanwhile, Shandong will effectively promote innovation, vigorously build the brand of "Shandong Good Achievements" and develop "Shandong Sci-tech Market" to advance the joint use and sharing of major scientific research instruments and equipment and accelerate sci-tech and financial reform; pursue more effective progress in all kinds of work to ensure satisfying results; strengthen linkage at the provincial and municipal levels, develop a holistic approach in the province's sci-tech system, seize opportunities, make practical efforts, and strive for breakthroughs in the province's sci-tech innovation.
