Shandong: Innovating and Optimizing Service Supply, Cultivating and Expanding Industrial Clusters

Since 2019, Shandong Province has cultivated 180“geese formation”clusters of“top ten”industries in five batches with revenue exceeding RMB 8.9 trillion and 276 leading enterprises with revenue reaching RMB 3.1 trillion.

This year, Shandong has actively carried out the activity themed“Characteristic Industrial Cluster Service Tour”, implemented the“Ten Chains and Ten Thousand Enterprises”financial chain consolidation action, and organized various special matchmaking activities such as digitalization activities. In its effort to recommend technical transformation service providers, it has helped large and medium-sized enterprises reach more than 700 cooperative intentions. While promoting digital and intelligent technological transformation, Shandong has increased its factor support. It provides factor support based on projects to empower more industrial clusters and accelerate their rise.

For instance, the automobile industry chain in the Fushan District of Yantai City has a total of 207 upstream and downstream enterprises, covering 6 major product series such as vehicle body, steering, power, and seat, and forming a fairly complete industrial supporting system. The province also actively plans its future development in the new energy vehicle field, in an effort to attract powerful enterprises in the fields of vehicle manufacturing, battery, motor, and electronic control core components. In the next 3-5 years, it will build a new energy vehicle industrial cluster with an output value of more than RMB 100 billion and with an important influence in China.
