"Six Actions" That Consist of 25 Policies and Measures Released! Shandong’s Qingdao City Strengthens Efforts to Develop New Forms of Consumption

On August 9, Shandong Province's Qingdao City held a press conference to interpret the Three-year Action Plan for Cultivating and Developing New Forms of Consumption and Unlocking Consumption Potential in Qingdao City (2023-2025) issued recently.

Based on in-depth research and investigation, the document has put forward some effective measures and necessary tasks. In terms of cultivating subjects, to solve the problems such as a lack of application scenarios and leading enterprises for new forms of consumption, Qingdao will cultivate "Two Demonstrations" and "focus on elements such as landmark business districts, characteristic blocks, high-profile first stores, and popular bazaars" to give full play to their demonstration and driving effect. In terms of creating the environment, Qingdao will release a list of opportunities for new forms of consumption, actively promote new scenarios and products for new forms of consumption, and accelerate the gathering of venture capital, innovation projects, and entrepreneurship teams.

Around "striving to build a national demonstration city for new forms of consumption," the document has also proposed "six actions" that consist of 25 policies and measures to innovate and cultivate new forms of consumption. Its goal is: By 2025, the policy system for promoting the development of new forms of consumption will be further improved, the consumption forms and models will be comprehensively innovated and upgraded, 30 representative application scenarios for new forms of consumption with Qingdao characteristics will be created, 30 local leading enterprises for new forms of consumption will be cultivated, etc.
