Shandong Unveils the First Batch of 32 "Industrial Brain" Projects

On August 2, the Office of Shandong Provincial Joint Conference on the Development of the Digital Economy announced the first batch of 32 "Industrial Brain" projects, covering a number of key industries such as the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy equipment, and textile and clothing. Relying on advantages such as a complete range of industries and a solid industrial foundation, Shandong takes the lead in selecting and cultivating a group of "industrial brains" in advantageous industrial clusters, with data factor circulation and application at the core, so as to further enhance the digital level of the industrial clusters featuring the "chain leader" and "chain group" mechanisms.

The development of the "industrial brains" complies with the "4321" concept. Through the construction of four platforms (computing power scheduling, data aggregation, algorithm development, and opening services), each "industrial brain" will develop three capabilities (big computing power, big data, and big model), serve the industrial governance and business management of two types of clients (governments and enterprises), and finally form an "economic brain" that supports the digital transformation and upgrading of industries across the province.
