Zaozhuang City Works to Attract Investment for the Lithium Battery Industrial Chain

On the afternoon of July 31, the press conference for the 2023 Zaozhuang International Lithium Battery Industry Expo was held in Shandong Hotel, Jinan City. In response to the call of the CPC Zaozhuang Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Zaozhuang City to implement the "Strengthening Industry Strategy" and the "Industry Doubling Plan," Zaozhuang City has prioritized the lithium battery industry and organized efforts to attract investment for new energy and the lithium battery industrial chain this year. Thanks to its efforts, a batch of leading enterprises and high-end projects in the lithium battery industry have been attracted to the city.

In the first half of the year, the city signed 41 new energy and lithium battery projects with an investment of at least 100 million yuan; and announced the construction of 27 such projects. Among them were some projects invested by Fortune Global 500 enterprises such as Zhejiang Geely Holding Group's battery assembly project and Sunwoda's Zero-carbon New Town clean energy project with a total investment of 5.06 billion yuan.

Zaozhuang has focused on power batteries, lithium battery materials, energy storage, and terminal utilization to attract investment for the lithium battery industrial chain. Next, Zaozhuang will continue to focus on the four aspects to strengthen cooperation with Fortune Global 500 enterprises and leading enterprises that play an important role in the city's lithium battery industrial chain. Thus, Zaozhuang strives to improve the industrial chain graph and the ledger system for enterprises filling gaps in the lithium battery industrial chain in a dynamic manner and advance investment promotion in a well-targeted manner.
