On July 21, the Promotion Conference for Analysis of Shandong's Economic Situation in the First Half of 2023 and the Construction of Business and Investment Attraction Projects was held to analyze the social and economic development situation of Shandong Province in the first half of 2023 and make work plans for the social and economic development, business and investment attraction and project construction for the last half of the year.

Since the beginning of this year, Shandong's economy performed stably overall, with a sound overall economic trend of accelerated recovery and rebound. For greater achievements in the economic work in the last half of the year, Shandong will see the construction of a green, low-carbon and high-quality development pilot zone as the driving force and business and investment attraction as an effective means to expand investment and stabilize economic growth. Departments at all levels in Shandong Province must effectively improve the results of business and investment attraction, so as to gain momentum for high-quality development of Shandong. Continuous efforts must be made to identify the direction of business attraction with a focus on leading, high-end and advantageous industries and the construction and strengthening of the industrial chain; innovate the business attraction methods for higher success rate and effectiveness; and strengthen the business attraction forces, make full use of Shandong's leading role, build professional business attraction teams and leverage non-governmental forces for business attraction.
