The Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province Issues Several Measures to Promote High-quality Development of the Hi-tech Industrial Development Zones

On July 18, the Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province issued Several Measures to Promote High-quality Development of the Hi-tech Industrial Development Zones (hereinafter referred to as "the Measures") to further gather innovative resources in high-tech industrial development zones and form new advantages in industrial development.

The Measures can be divided into 10 parts in four major aspects: first, gathering sci-tech innovation resources in high-tech industrial development zones, planning the development of high-level innovation platforms, and undertaking sci-tech innovation projects; second, guiding the integrated development of science and technology with industry, finance, talents, and education in high-tech industrial development zones; third, promoting the coordinated development and intelligent management of high-tech industrial development zones; fourth, promoting the planning and construction of high-tech industrial development zones from a strategic perspective. The Measures serves as an effective reply to the opinions and suggestions put forward by science and technology bureaus and high-tech industrial development zones of cities in Shandong Province during their innovative development. Next, Shandong will focus on forming characteristic industrial advantages. Centering on the layout of industrial chains and clusters, Shandong will implement the tiered cultivation plan for sci-tech enterprises in an in-depth manner to promote the development and expansion of sci-tech enterprises with high-tech ones at the core.
