The Number of "Goose Formation" Clusters of "Top Ten" Industries in Shandong Reaches 180

Recently, Shandong Development and Reform Commission announced the list of "goose formation" clusters of "top ten" industries and cluster-leading enterprises included for prioritized cultivation in 2023. According to the list, 37 industrial clusters and 59 leading enterprises including Yantai software and information service characteristic industrial cluster were selected.

The "top ten" industries involve Shandong's leading industries, competitive industries and potential industries, indicating the development direction of Shandong's advanced productive forces. To build a sound industrial development ecosystem, Shandong has included and cultivated 180 "goose formation" clusters of "top ten" industries in five batche[11] s and 276 cluster-leading enterprises since 2019, focusing on the "top ten" industries and 11 landmark, strategic and comprehensive industrial chains. Notably, the revenue scale of the 180 "goose formation" clusters has exceeded more than 8.9 trillion yuan, and that of the 276 cluster-leading enterprises has exceeded 3.1 trillion yuan.

Going forward, Shandong will focus on guiding the optimization and integration of industrial layout and innovation-driven development of leading enterprises. Shandong will also guide the sound clustering of industries and propel leading enterprises to break through and develop, so as to provide strong support for accelerating green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the province.
