Weihai Blazes a New Trail for the Integration of "Four Chains" and Creates New Models for Investment Attraction

Recently, at the Signing Ceremony of Q2 Business and Investment Attraction Projects of Weihai, five projects with a total investment of 2.1 billion yuan were signed and settled in the Weihai Economic and Technological Development Zone. Since the beginning of 2013, Weihai Economic and Technological Development Zone has shaped a joint force for investment promotion relying on leading enterprises and industrial parks. Up till now, it has welcomed 22 industrial projects implemented and 35 key projects under negotiation with a total reserve investment of 20.5 billion yuan.

In recent years, Weihai has built a "1+4+N" innovation platform system, with Weihai Industrial Technology Research Institute as the leading "1", four talent-driven platforms such as HIT Weihai Innovation Park as the "4", and 20 specialization platforms and 147 new research and development institutions as the "N".

With targeted empowerment of industries as the foothold and the "1+4+N" platform as the linker, Weihai has created diverse models and blazed a new trail for the integrated development, namely pooling the innovation chain, connecting the education chain, activating the talent chain and empowering the industrial chain.
