Kyrgyz President Visits Shandong and Gets Ordered Buses, Made-in-Shandong Bus Exports to Central Asia Hit New High

On May 20, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and his delegation visited Shandong to participate in the offline ceremony of the first batch of 1,000 Zhongtong buses purchased by Kyrgyzstan.

The export of Zhongtong Bus is China's largest bus order from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative this year, which also sets a new record for China to export buses to five Central Asian countries.

The transaction of 1,000 gas buses shows that there is a strong demand for new energy vehicles, and improving the real economy is the focus of economic development. In the first quarter, Shandong's foreign trade showed that the real economy was the fundamentals of foreign trade. In the first quarter, Shandong's total import and export value of goods trade reached 764.62 billion yuan, up 7.7 percent year-on-year; the export value and import value were 459.28 billion yuan and 305.34 billion yuan respectively, up 12.3% and 1.4% year-on-year, with "real economy" making a large contribution.
