Zibo has recently held the Shandong Pharmaceutical Industrial Chain Conference. Based on the industry's high-quality development in 2022, the conference planned new development strategies and goals to make the pharmaceutical industry continue leading the country and positively contributing to the economy and people's livelihood as one of the 11 key industrial chains in Shandong Province.

Shandong's pharmaceutical industry has made remarkable achievements in recent years. In 2022, pharmaceutical enterprises above designated size in the province achieved an operating revenue of 349.59 billion yuan and a total profit of 50.48 billion yuan, accounting for 3.2% and 11.3% of the province's industries respectively. At present, Shandong's pharmaceutical industry has formed a relatively complete industrial chain system covering chemical drugs, traditional Chinese medicine, biological drugs, medical devices, pharmaceutical excipients, pharmaceutical packaging systems, pharmaceutical equipment, and other fields, which occupies a prominent position in the national pharmaceutical industry layout.

The conference also specially held a matchmaking activity for the two industrial chains of biomedicine and medical devices in Shinva Medical Market, which effectively promoted "chain chief" and leading enterprises to carry out in-depth special actions to integrate and consolidate the industry chain, giving full play to their leading advantages to attract supporting enterprises and producer service enterprises, and improve all links of the industrial chain.
