400 Gazelles+3 Unicorns! Shandong Launches the Cultivation and Identification of Gazelle and Unicorn Enterprises in 2023

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province has recently issued the Notice on Cultivating Gazelle and Unicorn Enterprises in Shandong Province in 2023.

According to the notice, the applicants are mainly enterprises in the "top ten" industries, producer services, and emerging industries supported by Shandong. Among them, the key support areas include enterprises to be listed that have strong innovation ability, standardized management, have submitted listing applications or entered the tutorial period for listing, or are included in the provincial key listing tutorial plan; enterprises that undertake major national and provincial strategic deployments and key tasks in key projects such as "six industrial foundations", provincial "top ten" industries of replacement of old growth drivers with new ones, and provincial 11 landmark industrial chains for strengthening and completing.

According to the Three-Year Action Plan for Improving the Innovation Capacity of the Manufacturing Industry in Shandong Province (2023-2025), Shandong will cultivate about 400 gazelle enterprises and three unicorn enterprises every year.
