Assembling on site the components that are manufactured in a factory like assembling building blocks is a remarkable feature of prefabricated buildings. Dezhou City has worked hard to guide the coordinated development of intelligent construction and new building industrialization, introduce more new technologies to the construction industry, and make the industry greener, more efficient and smarter. By doing so, the city strives to increase the proportion of new prefabricated buildings to 45% by 2025.

Advancing the coordinated development of intelligent construction and new building industrialization also needs efforts in both construction and manufacturing to cultivate a complete industrial chain for construction. In Dezhou's Tianqu New District, Lianxing Lvsha Construction Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong Jianzhu University have jointly developed the first production line for prefabricated steel structures that "integrate panels and frames" for intelligent construction in China. It can automatically assemble steel frames with interior and exterior panels into shear walls and thus increase the prefabrication rate of the main part of the buildings to more than 95%.

Dezhou has endeavored to "strengthen leading enterprises, complete the industrial chain, and build clusters." For this end, the city has cultivated and introduced a batch of prefabricated construction enterprises such as Lianxing Lvsha Construction Technology Co., Ltd., Shandong Hujiang Intelligent Assembly Co., Ltd., and Sanyi Urban Construction & Residential Engineering (Yucheng) Co., Ltd. In addition to them, Dezhou has attracted a batch of intelligent construction equipment R&D and information technology enterprises to extend the upstream of the industrial chain and also cultivated prefabricated decoration enterprises and construction general contracting enterprises to extend the downstream of the industrial chain. With these efforts, Dezhou has constantly improved the industrial chain and formed an industrial system for intelligent construction with a complete industrial chain covering prefabricated equipment R&D, component production and processing, assembly and operation.
