Shandong’s Construction of Provincial-level New Areas: Accelerating the Implementation of Projects and Innovating Investment and Business Attraction Methods

In an automation workshop of Shandong Huachuang Rongsheng Exhibition Co., Ltd. in Dezhou City's Tianqu New District, more than 30 robots with long arms were working in full swing; in Liaoweiyuan Big Health Industrial Park in Heze City's Luxi New Area, equipment was being installed in the site of the Project of Intelligent Manufacturing Center for Contrast Agent Series Products; the Yimeng Optics Valley Photoelectric Industrial Park in Linyi City's Yihe New Area was still under construction, but five enterprises have expressed their interest in locating a branch there; Yantai Metastar Special Paper Co., Ltd. offered shares to the public on the Beijing Stock Exchange for the first time and was listed, further increasing the number of listed companies in the Huang-Bohai New Area.

To accelerate the building of a strategic fulcrum for regional integrated development, Shandong has set up four provincial-level new areas and established management organizations and issued supportive policies to promote their construction. By strengthening factor guarantee and innovating service methods, these new areas have accelerated project construction and extended and strengthened advantageous industrial chains.

As progress is made in project construction, business and investment attraction work also does well. Provincial-level new areas in Shandong have consolidated resources, optimized their business and investment attraction mechanisms and attracted businesses and investments through industries or businesses or in a well-targeted manner. Thanks to these efforts, constant progress has been made in the province's investment and talent attraction work.
