Shandong Strengthens the Building of a Talent Pipeline for the Transfer and Transformation of High-level Sci-tech Achievements

Recently, the Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province issued Several Measures on Strengthening the Building of a Talent Pipeline for the Transfer and Transformation of High-level Sci-tech Achievements to promote the in-depth integration of innovation chains, industrial chains, capital chains and talent chains.

As per the document, Shandong will implement a special cultivation plan for technology brokers to cultivate high-level technology brokers at a faster pace, thus increasing the number of technology brokers in the province to more than 8,000 by 2025. Meanwhile, Shandong will beef up efforts to introduce talents for transferring and transforming high-end sci-tech achievements. Specifically, focusing on the innovative development of modern marine, advanced manufacturing, new materials, modern agriculture and other fields, the province will support backbone enterprises, leading technology transfer service institutions, new R&D institutions and other organizations to introduce a number of full-time talents (teams) for the transfer and transformation of sci-tech achievements from inside and outside the province; flexibly introduce a number of versatile talents from the scientist and entrepreneur communities, angel investors, entrepreneurship mentors and other talents (teams) for the transfer and transformation of high-end sci-tech achievements. The goal is to increase the number of talents for the transfer and transformation of high-end sci-tech achievements in the province to more than 300 by 2025.

Shandong will also carry out a special action on the transformation of sci-tech achievements and a road show of "Shandong Sci-tech Market", create high-quality brands for the matching and transformation of sci-tech achievements, and establish a dynamic mechanism to stay informed of new sci-tech achievements.
