Shandong Puts Forward the "One Policy for One Enterprise" Plan to Improve Energy Efficiency of Industries with High Energy Consumption and Emissions

In recent years, Shandong Province has promoted the in-depth adjustment of industrial structure in an orderly way, continuously improved its green manufacturing system, and made every effort to promote the green development of its industry. At present, two batches of 202 provincial-level green factories have been announced.

This year, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province is further cultivating and expanding typical green and low-carbon benchmarks and vigorously carrying out the recommendation work for provincial-level green factories, green industrial parks, green supply chain management enterprises and demonstration enterprises of green design for industrial products. Meanwhile, it is striving to build more than 100 new green factories and at least three green industrial parks and include more enterprises in the list of demonstration enterprises. Its goal is to build 500 green factories and 20 green industrial parks by 2025.

Through an investigation of industries with high energy consumption and emissions in the province, Shandong now has developed a clear understanding of the energy efficiency levels of local enterprises and set the standards for energy efficiency improvement. Moreover, Shandong has published them and organized the formulation of the "one policy for one enterprise" energy efficiency improvement plan for enterprises whose energy efficiency levels are lower than the benchmark levels.
