Weifang National Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Agriculture Opening Up and Development Integrates into the High-quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative

As China's first state-level comprehensive pilot zone for agriculture opening up, Weifang National Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Agriculture Opening Up and Development has maximized its role as an opening up platform to open the city's agriculture wider in all aspects, serve the new development pattern of "dual circulation", and integrate into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

With the help of the platform, 29 agricultural enterprises in Weifang have established R&D centers or industrial parks in countries along the Belt and Road; the number of foreign-funded agricultural enterprises in the city has grown to more than 200; the number of export bases for characteristic agricultural products in the city has reached 2,059; the export value of agricultural products of the city has exceeded 10 billion yuan for four consecutive years.

In recent years, Weifang National Comprehensive Pilot Zone for Agriculture Opening Up and Development has seized the strategic opportunities brought by a new round of high-level opening up and maximized the role of export-oriented enterprises as a bridge, reaching cooperation with Pakistan, Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria and other countries on exporting Weifang's advanced models such as vegetable planting techniques and standards.
