Shandong Develops Unimpeded International Channels for Modern Logistics

In recent years, Shandong has been strengthening the coordinated development of industrial chains and supply chains to help local products quickly gain a foothold in the international market through logistics services and promote the cost reduction and efficiency improvement of logistics and manufacturing enterprises.

In February this year, Shandong Port Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry to build an exhibition and sales platform around overseas warehouses, help China's tire and auto parts enterprises jostle for market share in the United Arab Emirates, and promote the coordinated development of logistics trade and logistics finance by developing logistics for industrial chains in conjunction with the manufacturing industry.

As tire enterprises go global, unimpeded international logistics channels have been gradually formed. In the first two months of this year, Shandong exported 759,500 tons of rubber tires, up 5.4% year on year. According to the planning, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Shandong will focus on advantageous products such as mechanical and electrical products and high-end chemicals, build 300 new overseas logistics parks and distribution centers, and open 315 international freight routes to make modern logistics services cover the whole process of production, circulation and consumption and promote the integrated development of logistics, manufacturing, and other industries.
