As both an emerging industry and a kind of key material, advanced carbon materials have been widely used. In recent years, Shandong Jiaxiang Carbon-carbon New Materials Industrial Park has adhered to an approach based on the whole industrial chain to plan and develop the industrial cluster for advanced carbon materials, built platforms with high standards to empower the cultivation of the industrial chain, and consolidated the foundation for high-quality development of the county economy by serving the upstream links of the industrial chain.

To promote the chain-featured and cluster-based development of carbon materials, the Park has developed a "roadmap for the industrial chain of Jiaxiang's carbon-based new materials". Meanwhile, the Park has made constant efforts in developing, completing, extending, and strengthening the industrial chain to improve supporting industries in the upstream and downstream links and drive the agglomeration development of the industrial chain.

Relying on 2.6 billion tons of coal reserves and the industrial development direction of advanced carbon materials, the Park insists on laying a solid foundation with top-level design and works to expand and strengthen the industrial chain covering carbon-based materials, high-end applied carbon materials, new energy graphite products, lithium battery materials, and others. Notably, Shandong Yida New Materials Co., Ltd., a chain chief enterprise, can produce 200,000 tons of needle coke annually, ranking among the top in the world and driving Jiaxiang County to become a national production base for high-quality and high-performance needle coke. Planned and implemented by it, the special graphite new material production and processing project can produce isostatic graphite products and provide upstream products for Hong Run Carbon Co., Ltd., Hengsheng Graphite Technology Co., Ltd., and Xinxing Electric Carbon Technology Co., Ltd., thus forming the chain-based production mode covering "needle coke, special graphite, and graphite products".
