Shandong Issues a Work Plan to Promote the High-quality Development of the Home Furnishing Industry

Recently, Shandong Province issued the Work Plan for the High-quality Development of the Home Furnishing Industry in Shandong Province. As stated in the document, by 2025, the integration of information technology and industrialization in household appliances, furniture manufacturing, hardware products, lighting appliances and other industries will reach the national average level; a group of national innovation platforms such as innovation centers and digital transformation promotion centers as well as 5G fully connected factories, intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories and excellent application scenarios will be built; a batch of well-known brands, ecological brands and high-level characteristic industrial clusters in the home furnishing industry will be cultivated.

Around the goal, the document has set the five key tasks of enhancing independent innovation capability, promoting digital and green transformation, optimizing industrial supply structure, cultivating an excellent industrial ecology, and beefing up efforts in application and promotion. Meanwhile, the document has also proposed to launch such supporting measures as building a mechanism where multiple parties can collaborate to promote work and cooperating with professional institutions to provide all-around services and support for enterprises, guide and consolidate resource factors to promote the high-quality development of the home furnishing industry, drive the organic combination and coordinated development of both supply and demand sides, and advance the industry to make a breakthrough in areas that are crucial for the development of the industry.
