The Number of RCEP Certificates of Origin Issued by Shandong in the First Quarter Ranks First Nationwide

In the first quarter of this year, Qingdao Customs District P.R. China, Jinan Customs District P.R. China, and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shandong Sub-Council issued a total of 45,000 RCEP certificates of origin, ranking first in China and up 86.7% year on year; the value of exports that enjoyed preferential policies under the RCEP hit 11.06 billion yuan, up 49.9% year on year.

To guide enterprises to enhance their awareness and ability to utilize the RCEP, the customs authorities, in conjunction with relevant organizations, have developed and launched information platforms such as smart collection and management and Lumaotong to accurately identify enterprises failing to enjoy insufficient benefits and then carry out targeted policy promotion. Next, the customs authorities will rely on open platforms such as the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA) and China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (SDFTZ) to accelerate the construction of pilot bases for the RCEP regulatory service innovation, take the lead in piloting the effort of meeting international high-level economic and trade rules, and serve the steady growth of foreign trade with innovative rules and regulations.
