Yantai Area Aims to Build a Demonstration Area for Economic Trade Cooperation under RCEP

Since the launch of the Plan for Deepening Reform and Innovation in China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (SDFTZ), Yantai Area has tapped into SDFTZ's role as a pilot platform for comprehensive reform and opening-up, taken the cooperation among China, Japan, and South Korea as a starting point, and focused on strengthening the collaboration and synergy of industrial chains and supply chains. Meanwhile, Yantai Area has accelerated the high-quality implementation of RCEP rules and constantly implemented a series of pilot tasks of the 2.0 plan to build a demonstration area for economic trade cooperation under RCEP featuring diversified and steady development with every effort.

Specifically, the following measures have been taken: opening international liner routes towards Japan and South Korea; building a fast channel for China-Japan-South Korea cross-border cold chain logistics; developing business forms for cross-border delivery; carrying out innovation in bonded maintenance; strengthening whole-chain cooperation with Japan's and South Korea's industries; promoting exchanges with Japan and South Korea on international standards; advancing international cooperation in green, low-carbon technologies; deepening the bilateral cooperation mechanism between China and South Korea in the aquaculture seed industry; and other measures.
