Shandong Strengthens Employment Service and Empowers the Development of the "Handmade in Shandong" Industry

The Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province recently issued the Notice on Further Strengthening Employment Services to Help the Development of the "Handmade in Shandong" Industry (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), arranging the deployment of employment services to help the critical work of the "Handmade in Shandong" Project this year. Shandong will implement several measures to help build a regional public brand of "Handmade in Shandong", and promote the construction of a leading area for green, low-carbon and high-quality development in Shandong.

The Notice clarifies that Shandong will further implement four actions: the employment guarantee action for handicraft enterprises, the quality and efficiency improvement action for entrepreneurial services, the cultivation action for handicraft talent teams, and the action for building regional characteristic brands. The government will strengthen the guaranteed loan support for business start-ups, select handmade business operators with leading potential to participate in high-end entrepreneurial training for potential enterprises, and provide good follow-up services for typical business start-ups. At the same time, the government will cooperate with handmade craftsmen, non-genetic inheritors, etc., to carry out "Handmade in Shandong" into polytechnics and technical universities, support practitioners to declare the chief technician, and enterprises to carry out an independent evaluation of skilled personnel. The government will also cultivate and develop the characteristic labor service brand of "Handmade in Shandong", organize handmade special vocational skills training, and actively develop special vocational ability assessment specifications with local handmade characteristics.
