Shandong\'s 2022 "Open Data" Index Ranks First in China

Recently, the DMG Lab of Fudan University and the Academy of Digital China of the State Information Center have jointly released the "2022 China Open Data Index" and the Report on Data Openness of Local Governments in China (hereinafter referred to as the Report). In terms of the rankings of national provinces and cities in open data in 2022, Shandong and its subordinate cities all ranked first in China.

Among the top 10 cities in the overall rankings of the Index, six cities of Shandong made the list, topping the list of the country in the total number. Besides, among the top 10 provinces and cities in terms of data capacity, Shandong occupied seven spots, ranking first across the country in the total number of valid data sets and data capacity.

According to sources, the "China Open Data Index" is the first professional index focused on evaluating the openness level of government data in China. Since its first release in 2017, the Index has conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the openness level of local government data across the country on a regular basis, to promote the construction and development of China's government data opening ecosystem.
