Shandong Launches Campaign to Urge Private Enterprises to Lead the Charge

To further stimulate the entrepreneurial enthusiasm of private entrepreneurs and promote the high-quality development of the province's private economy, Shandong will launch a campaign to urge private enterprises to lead the charge, according to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province. It will release the list of the top 100 private entrepreneurs leading the charge every two years from 2023.

Shandong will select the best private entrepreneurs focusing on its ten most advantageous industries, especially the "chain master" enterprises of 11 iconic industrial chains, leading enterprises of characteristic industrial clusters, key enterprises of chain extension, supplementation and reinforcement, national-level single champion and "little giant" enterprises, gazelles, unicorns, and other small and medium-sized businesses with high growth potential. The evaluation will focus more on the driving effect on the industry, attaching more importance to enterprises' future contributions to industrial development from the aspects of industrial chain status, new projects, technical transformation projects, development characteristics, and growth potential.
