Shandong Trade Promotion Authorities Hold Exchanges with Overseas Institutions in China in 2022

Recently, Shandong trade promotion authorities held exchanges with overseas institutions in China. Representatives of 35 overseas embassies and consulates, trade promotion agencies and business associations from 15 countries and Hong Kong attended the event. Representatives of 18 research institutions and industry associations in the province, including trade promotion authorities in the province, Shandong Industrial Technology Research Institute, Shandong Healthcare & Elderly Care Industry Association, Shandong New Energy Industry Association, Shandong Environmental Protection Industry Association, and Shandong Rubber Industry Association, held video dialogues with overseas institutions stationed in China.

At the meeting, representatives from the China office of such overseas organizations as Italian Trade Agency, Embassy of Israel in China, German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), and Japan External Trade Organization exchanged views on the development advantages of their respective countries in the fields of healthcare & elderly care, intelligent manufacturing, modern agriculture, biomedicine, green and low-carbon development, cultural tourism and clean energy, as well as their complementary needs with Shandong Province. They also had in-depth discussions and precise coordination on jointly building platforms for trade, investment and technology exchange. The trade promotion authorities in Shandong have launched 107 cooperation platforms and key activities in collaboration with overseas institutions in China, and learned about the key work of some foreign institutions in China in 2023 and their cooperation needs with Shandong.
