Shandong hopes to see at least 10,000 industrial enterprises above designated size implement the special data empowerment action by 2025

Shandong is going to carry out a special data empowerment action among industrial enterprises, according to the official website of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province. Its aim is to accelerate the efforts of industrial enterprises in the province to collect, transmit, store, manage, and use data in a wider range and at a deeper level, drive the optimal allocation of manufacturing resources with industrial big data, and promote the deep integration of digital technology and the real economy. By 2025, Shandong hopes that there will be at least 10,000 industrial enterprises above designated size to implement the special data empowerment action and a batch of role model enterprises that reach conclusions, make decisions, carry out management, and innovate based on data.

According to Shandong's plan, by 2025, at least 500,000 sets of digital transformation equipment will be newly added; the number of enterprises that implement network upgrading will reach 8,000; the coverage rate of enterprise-level data analysis nodes will exceed 50% and the number of data analysis registrations will surpass 5 billion; more than 2,000 enterprise-level edge clouds will be built and 1,000 enterprises will reach DCMM Level 2 and above; a number of "data-enabled" excellent products (solutions) with advanced technology, reliable quality, innovative model, and strong competitiveness will be cultivated; a number of data-driven digital economy enterprises with outstanding innovation abilities, impressive exemplary qualities, good application results, and remarkable economic benefits will be developed.
