2022 Charming City of Jinan – Conference on Industrial Cooperation with CEECs Held Successfully

The 2022 Charming City of Jinan – Conference on Industrial Cooperation with China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) was held online successfully on December 5. At the conference, Zhang Zhe, Director of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Jinan Sub-council (CCPIT Jinan), extended a welcoming message, and guests from foreign governments and business communities of  Montenegro, Croatia, Romania, Russia, and other countries delivered speeches. As a part of the conference, the activities of the special training session (online) on "Sharing Market Opportunities with CEECs" of the School of Trade Promotion Business (the 10th session) and the Matchmaking Meeting for Enterprises of CEECs (online) were held on the same day, drawing over 100 enterprises from Jinan and 33 enterprises from CEECs.

Noting that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-CEEC cooperation mechanism, Director Zhang stressed that China and CEECs enjoy a close friendship that has deepened over years and have a lot to offer each other economically. As the capital of Shandong Province, a major coastal province in China in terms of economic strength and population, Jinan is one of the mega-cities in northern China with strong development advantages and foreign cooperation intentions. According to Director Zhang, Jinan has close economic and trade cooperation with CEECs in steel, furniture and furniture parts, machinery and equipment, electronic products and other industries. He hopes that this conference can help consolidate mutual friendship, forge long-term relations, promote closer industrial cooperation, and achieve win-win results.
