Unveiled List of National Advanced Manufacturing Clusters, Including 3 in Shandong

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) released a list of 45 national advanced manufacturing clusters, including three in Shandong Province. Going forward, the MIIT will speed up the training and development systems respectively for clusters at the provincial, national, and international levels, improve the working mechanism of the linkage between the central and local governments and the coordination of departments, and upgrade the cluster policy support systems for industry, innovation, finance, finance, region, and public services, so as to push the cluster work to a new level.

According to the MIIT data, the output value of the leading industries of 45 national clusters reached 19 trillion yuan in 2021, and 18 national manufacturing innovation centers were laid out and established, accounting for 70% of the national total. Besides, more than 1,700 national technological innovation carriers were built, more than 170 national enterprise champions in individual fields and more than 2,200 specialized and innovative enterprises (also nicknamed "little giants") that produce cutting-edge products were cultivated and established, becoming important carriers to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
