Longkou City, Shandong Province Secures Several Projects Worth RMB 77.4 Billion at Investment Promotion in Shanghai

The Longkou Key Industries and High-end Low-carbon Green New Materials Industrial Park (“the Park”) is hosting an investment promotion event in Shanghai to promote the city image of Longkou, major industries in the city, and the Park.

Based on early-stage matchmaking, a total of 22 projects have been signed on site, covering high-end chemicals, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, IT, new energy, agriculture and cultural tourism, and other fields, entailing a total investment of RMB 77.4 billion, which includes USD 167 million of foreign investment. Among the projects, there are three projects at the 10 billion yuan level, namely, the nylon 66 new material base project, the bio-based polyester material project, and the pumped storage power plant project.

It is learned that Longkou City has been replacing old growth drivers with new ones in recent years. The city boasts 283 industrial enterprises above designated size, about 140 specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative enterprises at provincial and municipal levels, 16 gazelle enterprises at provincial and municipal levels, and another 50 enterprises listed as reserve enterprises to be listed, making the city rank top among counties in Shandong Province in terms of the number of listed enterprises.
