Shandong Signed 26 Key Projects At The CIIE With A Total Contract Amount Of USD 3.64 Billion

Recently, the Forum on International Trade Facilitation Cooperation in the Yellow River Basin hosted by the People's Government of Shandong Province has been held at the 5th China International Import Expo. It is reported that Shandong signed a total of 26 key projects on site, with a total investment of USD 3.64 billion, contracted foreign investment of USD 884 million, and import contract amount of USD 1.12 billion.

At this CIIE, Shandong established a strong trading group. More than 5,800 professional purchasers were registered in the province and the number of registered professional visitors reached 23,000. The scope of purchase involves 6 fields of service trade, automobiles, technical equipment, consumer goods, medical devices & health care, food and agricultural products. It is reported that among 26 signed projects, there are 20 foreign-funded projects with a total investment of USD 3.64 billion and contracted foreign investment of USD 884 million. From the perspective of investment fields, these projects mainly involve high-end equipment, new-generation information technology, new energy, new materials, medical care and health and other fields. Among them, there are 14 manufacturing projects, with a contracted foreign investment of USD 610 million, accounting for 70% and 69% respectively. From the perspective of regional distribution, these projects are located in 7 countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United States, Hong Kong, and China. Judging from the project situation, there are 3 projects with a contracted foreign investment of more than USD 100 million and 12 projects with a contracted foreign investment of USD 30 million. In addition, 4 import projects with a contract value of USD 1.12 billion and 2 strategic cooperation agreements were signed.
