Seven Strategic Emerging Industrial Clusters In Shandong Were Included Into National Industrial Clusters

A few days ago, the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government held a press conference. At the conference, Wang Dong, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, stated that Shandong cultivated 25 provincial-level strategic emerging industrial clusters, of which 7 were included into the national strategic industrial cluster, ranking first in China.

Shandong had 31,600 manufacturing enterprises above designated size, 362 state-level technologically advanced ‘little giant' enterprises, 5,777 provincial-level technologically advanced enterprises, and 757 ‘little giant' enterprises, ranking third in China. Moreover, Shandong Province has cultivated a total of 145 enterprises leading an individual field of the national manufacturing industry and 788 provincial enterprises leading an individual field, ranking second in China; the province had 200 leading enterprises in science and technology, 23,000 high-tech enterprises and 32,000 small and medium-sized technological enterprises respectively. The province's "four new" economic added value accounted for 31.9% of the regional GDP, the output value of high-tech industries accounted for 46.8% of the industrial output value above designated size, and the digital economy accounted for 43% of GDP.
