Recently, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province announced the list of key cross-border e-commerce entities developed by Shandong Province in 2022. Yantai Huang-Bohai New Area was successfully selected as a key cross-border e-commerce industrial park developed by Shandong Province.

Cross-border e-commerce is a new key form of foreign trade that is currently supported by Yantai Huang-Bohai New Area. With international trade centers and comprehensive bonded zones as important industry carriers, China (Yantai) cross-border trade comprehensive service platform, free trade cross-border global shopping and cross-border e-commerce bonded warehouses and other auxiliary facilities have been constructed by investing nearly RMB 100 million to continuously consolidated the basic conditions for the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry. Since the China (Yantai) Cross-Border Trade Comprehensive Service Platform serving Yantai was put into use in this September, the customs clearance time has increased from 2,000 orders/day to 1 million orders/day, and the peak customs clearance speed has increased from 10 orders/second to 50,000 orders/second, ranking the first in Shandong Province and among the top 10 in China. Up to now, the platform has processed more than 38 million cross-border e-commerce orders.
